Now one of Britain’s leading honey farms Quince Honey Farm is family run and first established in 1949 by George Wallace with 2 hives of bees, an inexorable work ethic and a wild dream. A fiery Scotsman, George served in the paratroop regiment during WW2 and after the war served in Palestine until 1949. Near the end of his service George read a book about beekeeping and became obsessed with the craft. He was one of only a few men in the entire British Army to be demobbed into beekeeping. He gained practical beekeeping experience at Yorkshire apiaries where he was told he worked too hard. George moved South to North Devon to live with his father in Quince Cottage. George had two hives of bees and ambitiously called his operation Quince Honey Farm.

Mole Valley Farmers began life more than 50 years ago, when a group of farmers from the South Molton area created an agricultural buying-group. The success of this early enterprise has resulted in the Mole Valley Farmers family of companies becoming a leading agricultural supply business spanning the length of Britain, with holdings in Wales and more recently Scotland. This includes Mole Valley Farmers branches and Bridgman’s stores across the South West, Mole Country Stores, Cox & Robinson farm direct outlets in the South and East of England, and manufacturing sites across England, and Scotland.

Tsarina's Palace was set up by designer/former legal advisor Catalina Lipscomb, to fill a gap in the market for those seeking classic styling with a dramatic twist.
The name "Tsarina" derives from the anglicised version of the Russian word for Queen. Interpretations of imperial Russian styles can be seen most clearly in our range of hand made designer jackets for ladies.
These jackets present a unique combination of the military look crossed with the latest street fashion topped off with imperial Russian style reminiscent of the Romanov era.
These stunning creations are supplemented by a range of dresses and affordable accessories, some of which have been designed by Catalina hereself.

Inspired by time creating a willow sculpture over a few weeks, immersed in nature and the creative process, noticing how, quietly but profoundly, something healed within. A subtle deep shift inside, a whole-istic sense of well being that planted the seeds for a journey that is now germinating here at EMS.
Still evolving, with this intention to create an environment and community of being in action, from foraging for wild food and growing food naturally, to creating art whilst integrating mental, emotional and spiritual healing.
What will this look like in 10 years?
A flourishing self-sustaining and inclusive Social Enterprise. We will be growing and producing saleable goods and foods. As well as offering courses and facilities for people to be with nature, whether that be a simple wild food walk or being involved with growing to improve mental wellbeing, plus creative and spiritual courses. Also with the experience gained in developing the site, Elstone meadow will offer a permaculture consultancy as well as courses.
While it is essential to make this sustainable financially the true the aim is to bring health benefits - physically through the active production as well as the offering of natural food, produced locally at affordable prices. Plus, vitally – mentally and emotionally through connection with nature much of which will be facilitated through trained professionals. It will pay fair wages to employees as well as engaging volunteers who will gain substantial benefit from engaging with EMS community, dependant on their needs. Fair prices will be charged, while ensuring affordability for those who need it.
