10 years ago Chris Green realised that although there were a lot of bike shops in the Southwest, few catered for the real ‘Athlete’, coupled with the Fitness and extreme sports lifestyle the North Devon Coast attracted he felt a specialist bike shop was need. Although the fitness and extreme sports customers are important and to a degree the inspiration, it was also and still is important to be the ‘Village Bike Shop’. It is as important to be fixing punctures for passing touring cyclists and fitting baskets to shopping bikes as selling ‘Tour De France’ level equipment.
