Little lane pottery is a small ceramic studio nestled in a sea side village on the north devon coast.
The Little Lane potter otherwise known as Georgie or Potty to her friends makes each piece using only the finest royal porcelain clay, a few high fire glazes and occasionally incorporates silver wire and driftwood ( collected from her local beaches) into her pieces.

As most who know me already appreciate, I’m a modern and trendy guy. I’m well up to date with all of the latest interior fashions, styles and designs and I spend hours titivating our own home to make sure it is bang on trend and ready for a photo-shoot at the drop of a hat.
Obviously to those who actually know me, none of the above is true. What is true though is that I am starting a blog. I wanted to do something creative with the hours spent sitting in my shop and I’ve also always believed that every dealer has a different way of finding and selling so it may be a bit of fun to document the hap hazard way I go about finding my stock.

Who are we?
Guitar Salvage have launched our own brand of recycled and upcycled guitars. Each one is individually built and made from new and reclaimed parts. What we intend to do is create guitars that are reasonably priced and very different from what is available at the moment. We also sell original vintage preowned guitars – if they are worth saving.
Our brand mission
We use parts from the 1970s right up to the 2020s, mixed together to give the experience of ‘heritage’, not the fake visual illusion of ‘relic’. The aim is to produce guitars that are very playable and sound better than the average homogenised crap that is out there. They won’t be shiny and shimmering – they will look rugged, with a few battle scars but they will compliment any serious guitar collection.

I began my career 42 years ago as an apprentice upholsterer with Harrods of London. Five years later I qualified as a traditional upholsterer and continued my career with Harrods for a further eight years. For the next 20 years, I ran a successful upholstery business in London working for various department stores including Harrods, John Lewis, Selfridges and Heals of Tottenham Court Road. During this time I also undertook on-site repairs and installation of modular furniture for three well-known French furniture designers , Ligne Roset, Roche Bobois and Gránge. In 2009 I relocated with my wife and daughters to North Devon where I worked for eight years for Jigsaw Furniture Project in Barnstaple until its closure in 2017.
I am now offering upholstery services from my shop, The Upholstery Workroom, at 80 South Street in South Molton, and am happy to visit you in your home to provide an obligation free quotation for any upholstery work you require from repairs to full re-upholstery and recovers on both traditional and modern furniture.

With today’s ‘stack it high and sell it cheap’ attitude, animal welfare is unfortunately not very high on the list of priorities. Box fed livestock and overcrowded poultry houses, production line slaughter and processing can only lead to an inferior product. Mass production processes add water during bacon curing to speed the process up and, we hasten to add, that milky residue in your frying pan is the water coming out! Sausage products containing emulsifiers to ensure all the gristles and rinds can be pureed and incorporated. This is the future we are told. Fortunately, here at John May Family Butchers, we don’t listen to that!
Our philosophy that ‘Tradition is a Step Forward’ is just that: a step forward. Not a step into the past. Prepared and when required, packaged in our state of the art, future proof and 5 star hygiene rated premises, all of our Beef, pork, lamb and poultry is sourced from selected and vetted, higher welfare producers (read more).
