Inspired by time creating a willow sculpture over a few weeks, immersed in nature and the creative process, noticing how, quietly but profoundly, something healed within. A subtle deep shift inside, a whole-istic sense of well being that planted the seeds for a journey that is now germinating here at EMS.
Still evolving, with this intention to create an environment and community of being in action, from foraging for wild food and growing food naturally, to creating art whilst integrating mental, emotional and spiritual healing.

What will this look like in 10 years?

A flourishing self-sustaining and inclusive Social Enterprise. We will be growing and producing saleable goods and foods. As well as offering courses and facilities for people to be with nature, whether that be a simple wild food walk or being involved with growing to improve mental wellbeing, plus creative and spiritual courses. Also with the experience gained in developing the site, Elstone meadow will offer a permaculture consultancy as well as courses.

While it is essential to make this sustainable financially the true the aim is to bring health benefits - physically through the active production as well as the offering of natural food, produced locally at affordable prices. Plus, vitally – mentally and emotionally through connection with nature much of which will be facilitated through trained professionals. It will pay fair wages to employees as well as engaging volunteers who will gain substantial benefit from engaging with EMS community, dependant on their needs. Fair prices will be charged, while ensuring affordability for those who need it.
