Plymotion is a scheme that aims to make it easier for you to get around Plymouth by bike, on foot and by bus.
We have secured £2 million for the period 2017 – 2021 following successful bids to the Department for Transport’s Access Fund for Sustainable Travel.
Through Plymotion we're offering incentives to encourage you to try greener, cheaper and healthier ways of getting from A to B, including the opportunity to speak to a travel advisor about all the travel options available for the regular journeys you make.
Independent surveys show that in the neighbourhoods we have visited so far people are walking and cycling more and know much more about the local bus services.

Exeter is a city in Devon, England, on the River Exe 36 miles (58 km) northeast of Plymouth and 65 miles (105 km) southwest of Bristol. It is the county town of Devon, and home to Devon County Council and the University of Exeter.
In Roman Britain, Exeter was established as the base of Legio II Augusta under the personal command of Vespasian. Exeter became a religious centre in the Middle Ages. Exeter Cathedral, founded in the mid 11th century, became Anglican in the 16th-century English Reformation. In the late 19th century, Exeter became an affluent centre for the wool trade, although by the First World War the city was in decline. After the Second World War, much of the city centre was rebuilt and is now a centre for business and tourism in Devon and Cornwall.
The administrative area of Exeter has the status of a non-metropolitan district under the administration of the County Council; a plan to grant the city unitary authority status was scrapped by the 2010 coalition government.

We are a collective of artists, technologists and academics approaching renewable energy and climate issues through creativity. Our projects help participants and audiences feel excited and connected with energy, help them learn new skills, spend time thinking about energy and sharing great ideas for their communities. Our Moths To A Flame project in partnership with Plymouth Energy Community includes moth watching and a poetry slam by Zoom, an augmented reality moth colouring sheet, illustrated children's book and model moths to be decorated with UV paint. In November 2021 we will take the voice of the South West to Glasgow for the UN climate conference COP26. We welcome everyone to get involved and add their whisper of climate hope... together we can create a roar for change!

Borrow Don’t Buy is a Library of Things based in Plymouth. A Library of Things is a place where you can borrow items that you need to use, but might not need to own. We have a diverse inventory with items from camping equipment to power tools, DIY tools and craft equipment. The idea behind a Library of Things is to help our members save money, reduce clutter and reduce our carbon footprint while strengthening our community. Members are able to access equipment that might be too expensive otherwise. To counteract our throwaway culture we also run a bi-monthly free Repair Cafe, where we help our attendees improve the skills and confidence they need to fix their broken items. By sharing more items within our community we increase our resilience and wellbeing. Our mission is for everyone to have access to the stuff they need, without it costing the earth. We have loads of resources, knowledge, and skills in Plymouth, we just need to share them more. A Library of Things a place to bring people together and encourage everyone to share more.

Well Connected is based in the South West and uses community engagement to deliver innovative and engaging projects, which support and encourage positive lifestyle choices. Our vision is to inspire communities to achieve positive lifestyles with healthier smiles. Well Connected runs projects, which enable students in health-related disciplines to gain experience relevant to their area of study amongst patient groups who may not traditionally access health care services and who may be harder to reach. Through its projects, Well Connected also provides advice and support to marginalised patient groups (e.g. people from lower socio-economic groups, the elderly, individuals with learning difficulties) equipping them to better prevent ill health.
