Pembroke Medical Group began as a single-handed practice in the early 1920s. Since then the surgery has grown considerably. Made up of Pembroke House Surgery in Preston, Paignton and Parkhill Surgery in Torquay we now have approximately 26,000 patients.

Brixham Library is a welcoming community library situated just around the corner from Brixham Theatre. This is the campaign page for Plastic Free Totnes, a community driven movement aimed at reducing use of unnecessary single use plastics (SUPs) across the town. The campaign formed out of the TTT Waste Into Resources group that met monthly from December 2016 to discuss local sustainable waste solutions . The group decided that the plastic issue alone demanded full attention as a global environmental catastrophe happening before our very eyes.. We are signed up to the 'Plastic Free Communities' campaign led by Surfers Against Sewage which sets out 5 smart objectives for the town to meet. We have so far run two roadshows in the town ‘Plastic Surgeries’ and have signed up numerous business to the Refill campaign (look out for the water refill stations). We want to work with local businesses and the whole community to find alternatives, sharing information and encourage action to reduce SUPS' and address devastating plastic pollution.
