Orchard Link Lower Sharpham Barton Community Orchard is an historic orchard in two plots (old and new). Shown on historic maps dating from 1880, the old orchard has consistently had trees growing there for over 100 years. The new plot has 50 trees and guards which were planted between 2013-15.
Some volunteers include adults with learning difficulties from the Robert Owen Community as well as international students from Ambios Ltd, who are the farm tenants on the Sharpham Estate.

Orchard Link Totnes has a mature community orchard planted more than 25 years ago by the Woodland Trust, which has many heavy-cropping fruit trees. Incredible Edible volunteers have helped to prune, tend and harvest this orchard over the last 3-4 years, and have hosted community apple pressing events.

Orchard Link Stokenham Village Green Orchard – This is a walled Village Green which has been planted with 20 varieties of Devon heritage apple trees, some cider and others dessert or cookers, together with one young oak planted by the local primary school. There are also two beds of wild flowers to enhance the open space.

Orchard Link Chillington Community Orchard is a Woodland Trust Orchard planted out in 1998 on a well sheltered edge of the village. There is a good variety of heritage apples trees plus plums and cherries in the smaller orchard area.

Orchard Link Beeson Community Orchard Group comprises local residents caring for Beeson Orchard which has Village Green status. It nestles in the middle of an area surrounded by houses in the centre of the village. There is a good variety with apple, pear, damson, medlar and crab apple trees. Other plantings include dog rose, elder and wild flowers seeds. The Orchard also includes a small pond to attract wildlife and the whole area is regularly enjoyed by the community with barbecues, apple harvesting and events.

Orchard Link Ashmeadow Community Orchard can be found on the outskirts of Ashprington village, on the road towards Sharpham House. A stunning location for this lovely orchard which is near to a children’s play area.

South West Lakes Trust Avon Dam Reservoir is situated in beautiful open moorland on South Dartmoor – a wonderful location for some picturesque walks. To get to the reservoir, head to Shipley Bridge, where you will find car parking and toilet facilities with disabled access, provided by Dartmoor National Park.
