We are a informal - social and friendly club with a mixture of riding abilities with the aim of discovering the lanes and byways ( avoiding main roads ) of Devon & Cornwall + the hidden cafes & farm shops for tea/coffee and cake. Meeting every Sunday morning weather permitting from different locations, we publish a list of planned rides with the leaders on the website. The idea is to ride at a steady pace with regards to the slowest rider in the group ( no racing ) and enjoy the beautiful countryside of Devon & Cornwall with the odd coffee & cake stops, also the occasional pub stop. All are welcome to join us we ride on a mixture of bikes, Hybrids-Road bikes-Touring -E Bikes, all we ask is after 3 rides if you like our club, is to join "Cycling UK". This has its benefits of insurance, cycling magazine and website with help and advice.

We offer workshops and courses to support parents and children to build a lifelong healthy relationship with food.
There’s nothing better than sitting around the table as a family, enjoying a meal together where the atmosphere is relaxed and sociable - the whole family feels nourished nutritionally and emotionally.
But children today are growing up in a world where the number one factor for poor health is diet, causing more illness than even smoking. Fussy and picky eating is on the increase, leading to narrow food choices and a limited diet. In the UK 1 in 10 children aged 2-10 is reported to be obese.
And fewer and fewer families are eating together.
Yet, a child that experiences regular family meals is more likely to feel secure, have better social skills and self esteem, eat more fruit and vegetables, do better at school and less likely to experience mental health issues.
Nourishing Families recognises, too, that beyond eating together there are many things that parents and caregivers can do to support healthy food habits in children.
The Nourishing Families Parents Programme offers the opportunity to stop, think, choose and implement changes in a structured, supportive and non-judgemental environment, using a range of exercises and techniques.

Salcombe Community Land Trust focuses on providing only rental housing to the parish. We are doing this through partnership with Aster Housing Association, who will manage and maintain the properties, subject to Salcombe CLT’s own Allocations Policy, prioritising genuinely local residents.
As a holiday destination with its second homes, Salcombe’s housing problem is skewed to such a degree that we are close to being unable to service the tourism businesses that are our bread and butter, because our essential full-time and part-time, permanent employees – the cleaners, gardeners, plumbers, shop, pub and restaurant staff, the volunteers who man our Lifeboat, fire service, after-school groups, clubs and organisations and so on – cannot afford to live here because of our low wage levels and the high property prices, both rental and sale, which are out of range.

Provide Devon is a christian charity providing food and other essentials to local people at crisis point. Using a combination of fresh produce and donated food from retailers, businesses and the local community, a food parcel can be provided to referral agents within hours. We provide a rapid response, as often the people we are feeding will have been experiencing food insecurity for some time. Requests for support may be due to finances, mental health conditions, crime or violence, bereavement or a sudden change to circumstances. Our aim is to give individuals, the majority of which are children and young people, immediate relief from hunger when they have no other options available.
