Totally Locally is a grassroots national campaign with the mission to ‘Live Totally Shop Locally’. In these challenging times for retailers, it has never been more important to support the businesses in Chudleigh. By showcasing the wonderful variety of local shops and their products, Totally Locally aims to encourage people to think differently about how they shop and show that little changes can mean a lot. Research has shown that if every adult in the UK spent just £5 a week in their local independent shops instead of online or with multi-national companies, an eye watering £13.5 billion a year would go back into our towns. In Chudleigh the boost to the local economy would be an extra £877,500 per year!

Totally Locally Tavistock is a free initiative by local people to support our independent shops and businesses
Tavistock is the latest of many towns across the UK to take up the Totally Locally campaign. This free initiative supports Tavistock’s traders to show the value of local shopping and its benefits for the local economy. Many of the shops, businesses and stalls will have special offers - highlighting Totally Locally's message that if everyone in Tavistock spent just £5 a week in local independent shops, it would bring an extra £2.6 million into the town's economy every year.

Exeter Green Walks gives people a chance to get out meet new people, have a natter and share ideas – all while enjoying a leisurely stroll around the many gorgeous green spaces of Exeter.
The walks, which take place on the last Sunday of every month, are open to anyone and everyone! Meet-up with the other ‘Green Walkers’ in front of Exeter Cathedral at 2pm.

Rainshare was established by Dr Sarah Ward from the University of Exeter who is encouraging people to share the rainwater from their roofs.
Do you have a roof? Yes? Then when rainfall hits it you generate runoff.
Do you use your runoff? Yes? Good. No? Then it normally runs into a sewer. Do you know how much a sewer costs to expand or build new? No? Well it’s expensive!
If we can keep runoff out of sewers then it means they will spill less dirty water into rivers & they may last longer too.
RainSharers share the runoff from their roofs so that its entry into sewers is slowed. It also means they save drinking water by using a quality of water that’s more appropriate than highly treated drinking water for a lot of practices (flushing toilets, watering gardens or allotments, washing-down driveways and so on).
