We are here to spread the word that #BikeIsBest for everyone. Here is a place to learn about the benefits of more people cycling. The benefits for you, your family, your community and the planet.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Make a pledge to ride your bike. It is that simple. You don’t have to ride far or fast. Getting out of your car, or off public transport, for short journeys will make a difference for you and for everyone. Tell us you believe #BikeIsBest by making a pledge. The more voices we have the louder we can shout to demand what is needed to make riding a bike safer, easier and more enjoyable. Get someone else on a bike. If you are already a committed cyclist help someone else get started, give them the practical support and inspiration to start their cycling journey.

Our groups help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Most groups organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.
A warm welcome from the Devon Bootlegs. The Bootlegs have over 100 members from all over Devon. For Sunday walks we meet at 9:30 am, Bude Street, Exeter (behind the bus station) to arrange car sharing, unless otherwise stated. Please come and join us. We also have a lively social programme for members!

We are a Group of the Ramblers based on the two sea side towns of Teignmouth (pronounced 'Tinmouth') and Dawlish in South Devon where we have the benefit of easy access to walking the South West Coast Path, the rolling hills of Devon and the relative wilderness of Dartmoor.
You are welcome to join us for a couple of walks as a taster after which we ask you to join the Ramblers.

We are a small, friendly and active group. All our walks take advantage of our fabulous position here in the South Hams with easy access to the countryside, the South West Coast Path and Dartmoor.
Our extensive walks programme is designed to provide a choice between short (4-7 miles) and intermediate (8-10+ miles) walks. In ‘normal’ times we offer short walks every Wednesday and Sunday, an intermediate walk every Wednesday with an additional intermediate Sunday walk every month.

Tavistock Group of the Ramblers was formed in 1976 and has been walking ever since.
On the edge of Dartmoor, close to the Cornish border and not far from the South West Coast Path, we have some of the finest walking in the country.
We have a full programme of walks with experienced leaders throughout the year. We walk every Saturday and Sunday, many Wednesdays and on some Summer evenings.
Our walks are varied in length and cater for the experienced walker and also those new to walking.
We also have a good programme of social events and the occasional group holiday and away day.
We are a small group with a friendly reputation and you are welcome to come walking with us.

There are 11 Groups that you can walk with. They walk on a variety of days; have short walks as well as longer walks and are very welcoming to both new people wishing to experience walking with a group and visitors (members or non-members) wanting to enjoy what Devon has to offer and learn a little about its history; life and agriculture.
Some of our walks are of special interest with flower and fauna; geology; industrial history; and much more.
Devon has one of the largest footpath networks in the country and Ramblers volunteers do a lot of work in helping keep them open and well maintained for all to enjoy.

The South Devon Group of the Ramblers is a very friendly collection of individuals who welcome other walkers to join us on any of our walks. We walk every Thursday for 6-8 miles, and every Sunday for 9-12 miles, as well as the first Tuesday of every month for an easy 3 miles plus a pub lunch. A recent addition to our walks programme are the tea shop walks of 5-6 miles. These walks end with an optional tea/lunch at a tea shop. Our walks include Dartmoor, the South Coast Path, and woodland and estuary walks.

Plymouth Ramblers is organised within the framework of the national Ramblers Association. We are a large group with over 280 paid up members. (Luckily they don't all turn out at the same time!) We have an active committee supported by other volunteers who look after the interests of the group.
We have regular organised walks on Sundays, Wednesdays, some Saturdays, and on Thursday evenings during the summer. Most of our walks are within a 25 mile radius of Plymouth. We also have occasional social events and trips away.
