ESSENCE - at the heart of social enterprise in Exeter.
The Exeter Social Economy
Together with our members and partners we are on a mission to stimulate and grow a robust SOCIAL ECONOMY across Devon (and beyond).
A robust social economy? An economy that supports strong local economic activity; that actively promotes the well-being of people and planet; one that reduces inequality and one that finds ways to restore and regenerate our natural world.

to encourage and support everyone to discover their creativity
-
to offer a full range of courses in printmaking including outreach to schools, our community and marginalised groups.

And that’s ride2cop26 finished.
- 570 miles
- Loads of punctures
- Lots of weird snack combinations
- So much fun
- Some very gritty moments
- Lots of rain
- And most of all, so many incredible people who took part in the cargo relay or just joined for the ride for a few miles.
The greatest Thankyou to all the people who were involved.
Onwards to @cop26uk and then turning this adventure into a film (where we aim to share all the amazing stories of the climate crisis and collective action, we have heard along the way)

Exeter is an amazing city, we are so lucky to live near the beach and the moor.
I’m passionate about parents, particularly breastfeeding mums. I believe that support is vital to us getting off on the right foot on our journey into motherhood, but it’s about finding it when you need it.
Cloth Nappies are the answer when it comes to avoiding single use plastic, keeping chemicals away from your baby and saving your family a fortune, I have a whole heap of other eco-friendly resources too!
I hope you enjoy exploring the site and all that Exeter has to offer babies!

From towering granite tors to breathtaking rivers, Devon's is an ancient landscape that has drawn and inspired our ancestors. The ancient idea of pilgrimage is as much about the personal inner journey as the destination. Devon Pilgrim follows this living tradition.
We invite you to walk these pilgrim routes, some ancient, some new, which connect tors, stone crosses, holy wells and tiny churches, standing stones and cathedral.
Re-root yourself in Devon's landscape and the spiritual traditions which run like a thread through it. Whatever your journey, we invite you to wander with us.

What is a FabLab? A small-scale workshop offering digital fabrication. It’s an open access, not-for-profit, community resource where anybody can invent and make just about anything.
What’s in a FabLab? An evolving array of flexible computer controlled machines that allow you to invent, make and share. You could print t-shirts, design & produce 3D prints, make beautiful embroidered designs, laser cut dreamcatchers from wood or perspex or CNC machine an electric guitar.
Who can use a FabLab? FabLabs are open to anybody who wants to learn about digital making to invent, create and design, and turn ideas into reality. The facilities are often used by makers, designers, local businesses, inventors, artists and entrepreneurs. We welcome school and group visits too.
