At Plymouth Tea, we are passionate about the history and tradition of our great city and of course, our tea. We are based in the historic naval city of Plymouth just a short ride from the steps where the Mayflower set sail on its journey to the Americas.
Plymouth Tea was originally born from a conversation between two friends, Ross Taylor and Tim Cross, who were looking for a new business opportunity as well as a chance to escape the usual grind of the 9-5 work day and spend more time in the beautiful Devon countryside.
Having built a successful advertising company together, Ross and Tim already had plenty to keep them busy. However, after a visit to a county show, they decided to embark on a new venture focused on Tea.
The idea was simple; source the highest quality tea and create 3 unique blends. The aim was to create a tea for tea lovers available through a select group of shops, tea-rooms, restaurants and hotels.
After several years of planning and preparation the first box of Plymouth Tea was sold in 2012 and the tea business has literally grown from there.

TLC Palliative Care at Home CIC is a new social enterprise, which will match skilled self-employed carers who share TLC's values, to support people with a palliative condition who need care. If you would like to work with TLC, please get in touch!
End of life care in the Exeter area, provided by trained, skilled & compassionate care-workers
It is a sad fact that while over 60% of people with a life-limiting condition express the wish to be cared for and die in their own home, in reality in Devon in 2015, only 24% were able to do so, while only 5% were able to be cared for in the Hospice. Over 50% died in the RDE and acute hospitals. TLC Palliative Care at Home will be a specialist, CQC registered care agency which will recruit, train and support carers to deliver expert end of life care in Exeter and East Devon.

Welcome to the Kennerleigh Community Shop!
We are a friendly, well-stocked village shop selling essential everyday products, locally sourced food and goods, newspapers, magazines, household goods, fruit and vegetables, an off licence, stationery, cigarettes and a Post Office.
History
The first shop in Kennerleigh was opened in the early 1940’s by a Harry Rowe from London. The shop was in one of the adjoining sheds to Garden Cottage, which is now the cottage kitchen.
In the late 1940’s a Mr and Mrs Barker from Derbyshire, with no experience in retailing, purchased Garden Cottage and moved the shop to its present building. Previously the building was a blacksmiths. In 1948 the post office was added and Mr and Mrs Barker improved the business by delivering door to door groceries, vegetables, paraffin and animal feed. Sadly with the popularity of supermarkets increasing the small village shop started to struggle and the business was sold for only £4,000.
Over the years Garden Cottage and shop was sold several times, owners Mr and Mrs Greenbank purchased the property and so did Mr and Mrs Maltby who retired to Tiverton after selling the property to Edna Hammond in 1962.
Edna with her friend Miss Florence Rowland (Cis) who was a teacher in Exeter lived at Garden Cottage and Edna ran the shop until October 1989. During her time at Kennerleigh Edna ceased selling petrol from the pumps outside the shop.
When Edna sold the shop to Sonia Andrews in October 1989 the shop and Garden Cottage was split up but Edna carried on living in the cottage until she passed away in 1994. Miss Florence Rowland died in 1985.
At the beginning of 2014 Sonia Andrews announced she wished to retire and put the shop up for sale. The community felt strongly that they didn’t want the shop to close if there was no buyer and in April that year an open meeting was held in Kennerleigh village hall which was the start of a fund raising effort to purchase the shop for the community.
After successfully raising the funds the community purchased the shop in November 2014 and is now run by the community as a community benefit society.

Food Technology & Management Capability
Dynamic Food Procurement has the potential to be a transformational force for good. That's why we have built the world's first tech platform to bring it to life across every sector and chain contributor in the food industry.
EM is the technology platform proven to transform conventional procurement approaches by enabling SME inclusive food procurement, fulfilment, consolidation and delivery along short, transparent, supply chains.
By enabling the public and private sector to procure food direct from SME primary producers and secondary suppliers, caterers can build back better and reduce costs.
Short, transparent supply chains are an essential prerequisite for making informed choices when procuring food. The time has come to change your food supply for good.
