We are an independent company that has been part of the West Country rural community for over 185 years.
We have a Country Store in the mid Devon market town of Crediton which supplies a full range of Pet, Garden, Equine, Farm & General Supplies.
For nearly two centuries supplying top quality seed has been at the core of our business and this still remains very much so today. Even though we no longer grow & process our own seed we work together with companies who are the forefront of modern seed production and whose values very much match our own.

The Totnes community bus was piloted in 1997 after a chance remark made by a visitor to the Totnes Information Centre. She was complaining that the main shopping street was very steep and was not easy to walk up, especially for the less able shopper. She asked whether anyone had thought of the possibility of having a small shuttle bus which took passengers to the top of the town.
Since the group and the service have gone from strength to strength and is arguably one of the most successful community bus groups in the country. It now owns 3 buses, one of which continues to service the town and one which is hired out to town groups

Our services operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday when we collect passengers from areas of Tavistock and transport them into Bedford Square.
We also run a service to Trago and Newton Abbot every first and third Wednesday in every month. (See the timetables for details and above for how to book this Wednesday service.)
From March to December on Saturdays, we have services that travel to Exeter on the first Saturday and Truro and Falmouth on the second Saturday of each month. During the summer months (April to September inc.), we travel to Barnstaple on the third Saturday, to Paignton and Torquay on the fourth Saturday and to Dawlish on every fifth Saturday, where there is one in the month.

The Tally Ho! story stared back in 1919 when a small holder and rabbit farmer called James Henry Clark (Jimmy) who lived at the Mounts bought a lorry to transport his rabbits to market. In 1923 he bought a new bed for the lorry which converted the back into a coach for use at weekends .
In 1933 after discussion and advice from Bill Wellington he bought a proper bus (a 6 year old De-Dion Bouton 20 seater) to run senior school children from East Allington to the Kingsbridge schools. He called it the Tally Ho! Sunshine Coach and started running day tours at weekends.
Tally Ho has been an important part of the South Hams for a long time touching the lives of many people whether taking them to school, out for a trip or simply taking them to work. The Company has had varying reputations ranging from quality travel to notorious breakdowns! Throughout our history we have always been the archetypal "local business" and long may it continue.

ILFRACOMBE COMMUNITY MINIBUSES are still running their essential Ring and Ride services alternate Thursdays (phone 01271 855950) and Fridays (phone 01271 864882). In the present circumstances these are open to anyone who needs to get shopping in. The Town Bus services, 33 Berrynarbor, 34 The Shields, 35 Slade and Lee Bay and 36 Fernway are also running on Tuesdays and Fridays as usual, again available to all.
