Our family have farmed in North Devon for over 100 years, in that time farming dairy, beef, sheep and chicken. In recent years and with an ever-growing awareness of consumers wanting high quality locally produced food, we embarked on selling eggs to local outlets and caterers, including shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and hotels – thus the brand of Farmer Bob’s Eggs was launched in 2010.
During the summer of 2018 we had the opportunity of taking on a local dairy business of high repute, having been built up over the last 30 years, and so we became Farmer Bob’s Dairy.

Farmer Bob’s Dairy is delivering produce to your door 6 days a week. Delivery days are as follows:
Barnstaple – Mondays and Thursdays
Braunton and Ilfracombe – Tuesdays and Fridays
Bideford and South Molton – Wednesdays and Saturdays
For other towns and villages you will be given notification of which day by email.

Established in 1998, using the brew plant from Lundy Island, the brewery was originally located at the families’ pub near Westward Ho! During the summer of 2002 it moved to its current location at The Big Sheep, Abbotsham, where you can visit the working brewery and retail outlet. In 2005 a new state of the art brewery and a bottling plant was installed enabling the brewery to keep up with increasing demand.
For nearly 20 years we have created and developed a range of ales incorporating different tastes, strengths, trends and ingredients. We can now produce up to 15,000 pints per week and are currently the largest brewery in North Devon.
Country Life Brewery combines state of the art equipment with traditional brewing techniques to ensure that there is a consistency of product and the beers produced are amongst the very best in the U.K today.

Lundy lies off the coast of North Devon, where the Atlantic ocean meets the Bristol Channel with nothing between it and America, a granite outcrop, three miles long and half a mile wide. In the hubbub of the modern world it is a place apart, peaceful and unspoiled.
Lundy is owned by the National Trust and managed by the Landmark Trust. The two charities have worked together since 1969 to restore and protect all that is cherished and special about Lundy. Every day visit and every overnight stay helps to secure the future of the island and its landscape, buildings and wildlife.
