We are Wedding and Event Caterers based in Torquay and Newton Abbot in Devon.

The Plot was founded in 2018 taking inspiration from the amazing food we we're growing on our allotment. Having spent over a decade in catering it seemed natural to take the plunge and be able to create the dishes we wanted and offer the service we would love to receive.

From Private Dinner Parties, Afternoon Tea and Children's Parties to Corporate Events and Weddings, when we plan your event we ensure that the menu is tailored to suit your budget & your needs

There is no better taste than home grown fruit and vegetables, if we can't grow it ourselves we aim to use locally grown and sourced fresh & sustainable produce. We've built strong relationships with many local suppliers around Devon

We are passionate about great food and we offer Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free menus along with being able to cater to any other dietary requirements too. The choice is yours!

Torbay Taxis Ltd are your local private hire firm. Reliable, low-cost, and versatile, we’re perfect for all your taxi hire needs. We operate a vehicle fleet of approximately 180 cars, estate cars, MPVs and 8 seater buses carrying from 4 to 8 passengers.

We’re sure to have a vehicle suited to your requirements.

We have male and female drivers on all shifts. Please inform us of your needs in order that we can send the right type of vehicle for you.We also have a Driver Manager whose responsibility is maintaining quality and consistency

COVID-19 Measures

Safety in our vehicles has always been our number one priority so, in keeping with government guidance, we have made some changes to ensure our vehicles are as safe as possible.

Customers must wear a face-covering when travelling in our vehicles (unless medically exempt).
The front seat must remain empty in line with social-distancing guidelines.
We are only able to carry 3 passengers (instead of 4) in our saloon vehicles and are leaving the front seat free in our MPV’s, meaning we can carry a maximum of 6 passengers at this time.

We supply free range meat from local farmers, usually within a few miles of our shop – we even cure our own bacon.

That means that not only do we provide excellent products, but we also help the environment and support the local farming community too.

Please visit our shop and see our wide selection of quality meats for yourself. We have free parking (up to 7 cars) and there is a Post Office and general stores (Galleon Stores) right next door

We have run Galleon Stores since 1993. Our goal was to put the shop & Post Office at the heart of the community.

The store offers a full range of convenient goods and services. Fresh bread, fruit and vegetables are delivered daily while savouries are cooked on the premises. Locally grown and produced goods are well represented on our shelves.

As well as a traditional Post Office we operate a second counter from the shop which allows us to offer most Post Office services on shop hours.
