Brave the breezes, axe the anxiety, enhance your energy and heighten your happy, with Winter Wheelers, a cold-conquering competition from the folks at Love to Ride. Running from the 1st-25th December, this cool riding challenge is aimed at getting more people riding bikes through winter. The cold, wind and rain can deter people from riding a bike, but this cold-busting campaign aims to show that, with a little preparation, every day is a biking day.
Plus, there are epic prizes to be won throughout December. Every day you log a ride, you're entered into the prize draw. You could even win a new bike on Christmas Day!

We believe in working together for the love of trees.
The Tree Council brings everyone together with a shared mission to care for trees and our planet’s future. We inspire and empower organisations, government, communities and individuals with the knowledge and tools to create positive, lasting change at a national and local level.
Help us champion trees, whether that’s by donating to support our work, becoming a volunteer Tree Warden, or visiting a remarkable local tree.

Devon's treescapes are stunning and crucial habitats for so much wildlife. But, they are under threat from many things including ash dieback; which is estimated to kill at least 90% of Devon’s ash trees in the coming years. It will affect everyone, but everyone can be part of the solution. Use this app to record details of notable trees near you to play your part.
Notable trees are usually mature trees which may stand out in your local environment because they are large in comparison with other trees around them. With everyone recording the Notable trees local to them we’ll be able to build up a picture of the health of Devon’s Treescapes. We’re focusing on all trees, but we also want to keep a close eye on any ash trees that might be showing signs of resistance to help the vital ongoing research into Ash dieback.

Welcome to Dartmouth Community Orchard. It sits between College Way (the main road into the town) and Ridge Hill / Mount Boone. The two orchard paddocks are linked by old woodland to form an unspoiled, rural area on the edge of Dartmouth. It is owned by the Town Council.
The paddocks contain approximately 130 apple trees of over 50 different varieties of traditional West Country apples, and the whole area is rich in biodiversity.
People come for quiet contemplation; to walk their dogs; to sit and admire the views over the Dart; or to watch the wildlife. They can enjoy the events held in spring to celebrate the reawakening of the orchard with its fine show of blossom and spring-time flowers, and in autumn to harvest the apples and make juice and cider.

We are a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation run by and for orchard, apple and cider enthusiasts in south Devon. Membership is open to all.
Orchard Link offers its members technical advice, a programme of events, courses and activities, and makes key items of equipment – mills, presses and pasteurisers – available for hire. In season we also provide a space where apple growers can offer or sell surplus apples: Harvestline.
We aim to promote:
- The restoration and planting of orchards.
- The conservation of traditional local fruit varieties.
- The productive use of fruit crops for eating, juicing, cider making and cooking.
- The exchange of knowledge, skills and expertise.
- Community involvement in orchard management, heritage and traditions.

Welcome! We are a collective of ‘Devon Doughnut Makers’ on a mission to co-create a first iteration of a Devon Doughnut. We are asking, “Could a dashboard help to provide a picture of how Devon is faring ecologically and economically? Would this be useful to people living and working here? If so, how, and to do what?”

ESSENCE - at the heart of social enterprise in Exeter.
The Exeter Social Economy
Together with our members and partners we are on a mission to stimulate and grow a robust SOCIAL ECONOMY across Devon (and beyond).
A robust social economy? An economy that supports strong local economic activity; that actively promotes the well-being of people and planet; one that reduces inequality and one that finds ways to restore and regenerate our natural world.
