When? The FIRST THURSDAY of the month - from 7:30pm onwards.
Where? Sundowners Cafe (15 Strand, Exmouth, EX8 1AD)
The very informal social event starts at about 20:00 but is usually preceded from 7:30-ish by a "29 Minutes" session (arranged by Transition Exmouth) in which someone leads a short talk / presentation / discussion / Q&A.
Who can come? Exmouth Green Drinks are open to anyone who wants to socialise with other environmentally aware people. Come down for the whole night or just one drink - it's all very friendly and informal :-) Oh, we are NOT affiliated with the Green Party... although some regulars may well be!
Officially part of the Green Drinks International network since 2014 (although there were Green Drinks in Exmouth many years before this incarnation).

Green Drinks is a relaxed and fun social for anyone that loves the environment, nature, or wildlife. We're a friendly, varied, bunch of folk from all walks of life and all are welcome.
The main event is an evening social, every third Friday, and a venue will be announced very soon. You can pop in anytime after 19:00 (officially we will end at 22:00 but you can of course keep chatting!) & meet kindred spirits to chat, network, and share ideas over a drink (hot, soft, or alcoholic) & food (optional).
To make this group as vibrant, inclusive, and interesting as possible:
- Do your best to bring a friend, colleague, or family member along to each event.
- As sun-events, we'll organize a regular walk and also a gentle cycle ride.
- We will, introduce very short (snappy) talks of no more than 15 mins to get evenings going on a positive, topical, interesting subject. Then, after a brief Q&A we'll relax into the informal socialising.

It is the Recording Group's intention to build up a complete catalogue of Dawlish Warren’s biodiversity. If there is anything you would like to see on the site, or you would like to submit any data, photographs or media [all of which will be credited to the author] please email us.
The Recording Group monitors species found anywhere on the sandspit east of the railway; from the rocky shore of Langstone Rock in the south to the entrance off Cockwood harbour 2.6 km (1.6mls) to the north. The boundary then runs north of Bull Hill sandbar before heading south down the middle of the Exe Channel, past Warren Point and east of Pole Sands. Records out to sea are accepted at any distance from “straight out and northward” from Langstone Rock and anywhere off the spit west of the Exe Channel. Additionally, birds at sea seen from Exmouth at least 300m out are also included; birds watched from the spit, which are flying over the mainland are excluded. The significantly different habitat of the outer car park at the base of the spit is considered outside the modern recording area.
The Recording Area covers some 210 ha (505 acres) but terrestrial habitats only occupy c.35% of this. The spit, from Langstone Rock is 2.5 km (1.5mls) long and roughly 0.8 km (0.5mls) wide.
